Upon a recent knee replacement surgery, I was still in a great deal of pain with much stiffness after my physical therapy sessions. Seeking another form of whatever pain relief I could find, I booked my first session with Tanya in her Northfield office. She miraculously regained my flexibility to 75% of what is used to be and with enjoyment. Easy and pain-free resistance stretching in ways I did not think my body was capable of doing.
I saw Tanya at Power Stretch a few weeks ago after twisting my back playing basketball. When I got home I was unable to even bend over to untie my shoe laces and had to have my wife help me with them.
Tanya was professional and courteous during our initial talk, and I explained what had happened and what I hoped to get out of the session. She seemed to understand exactly what was wrong and had ideas on how to solve the problem. I can’t really describe the stretches she did, but when we were done, I was able to bend and move, and was able to put my shoes back on and tie the laces without an issue.
The experience was great, and it helped my mental well being as much as physical limitations I had when I arrived.
I would strongly recommend Power Stretch to anyone who is looking to relieve physical pain, and have their mental well being improved as well.
For me, massage therapy, including stretching exercises, has been particularly helpful in managing spasticity, walking and gait issues and tremors. It is important to note it is difficult to scientifically measure the benefit of these therapies. They often benefit an MS patient in managing MS symptoms even if there is no scientific measurement of improvement in function. That is because, since the nature of MS is a progressive disease with worsening symptoms over time, maintaining function or slowing the decline in function should be viewed as being beneficial, without regard to scientifically measured functional improvement.

Last year I was in a bicycle crash that left me with low back and leg bruises that were terribly painful. As I healed I remained stiff and very sore for weeks. I sought help from Tanya. The deep tissue massage and power stretch were phenomenal! The power stretches she does should be patented. I’ve never had anyone, even a personal trainer stretch me out, and loosen me up so well. Thanks Tanya.
I am an avid crossfitter and athlete in my early 40’s. After a few strenuous weeks at the gym I began to get really tight and develop some rotator cuff tendinitis. I booked a session at power stretch and after just 20 min of deep stretching and massage I was able to get back my range of motion. The next day I was raising my arm without pain. It’s amazing what some assisted stretching can do. I go back often to maintain what I have gained!

I have received dozens of massages over the last several years. I can clearly attest to the fact that Tanya’s massages are the best and most effective, bar none. Unlike many other therapists, she listens to the client, understands the problem and directs therapy to the trouble areas. I am 61 and have neck issues. Her stretching techniques are amazing and provide total relief where others have failed. I would recommend her to others without hesitation.
